Apsan Park, The Rest Place and beautiful landscape

 

 

#INTRODUCTION

 

Located in Nam-gu, Daegu, the Apsan park is close to the city center, so it is accessible to citizens.

It has many deep valleys, thick forests, so it has beautiful natural scenery and is good for mental and physical training.

There's four area which has lots of things to see and enjoy

 - large valley(큰골), Anjirang valley(안지랑골), Gosan valley(고산골), Dalbi valley(달비골).

 

Address : 574-116 Eulsan Circulation Road, Nam-gu, Daegu

Time : During summer season, it opens at 10 a.m. and closes 7 p.m. on weekdays and opens at 10 a.m. 

and closes at 8 p.m. on weekends and holidays.

         During winter season, it opens at 10 a.m. and closes 6 p.m. on weekdays and opens at 10 a.m. 

and closes at 6:30 p.m. on weekends and holidays.

 

 

#LARGE_VALLEY & ANJIRANG_VALLEY

 

1) Large Valley

 

Large Valley includes a cable car, the loyal dead tower, Apsan Observatory, 

Nakdong River Victory Memorial Hall and Nanum Forest.

The loyal dead tower is the place where the Young-hyun of the Korean army, 

who was built during the Korean War to protect his country, was enshrined.

At the observatory, you can see paranoma of Daegu and a beautiful night view of downtown Daegu at night.

The Nakdonggang Victory Memorial Hall was built to commemorate the victory of the Nakdong River in the Korean War 

and to honor the holy spirit of the veterans who kept Daegu to their deaths.

It opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m.

Nanum Forest is a resting place where students and adults can enjoy it without any burden, 

as it has a walkway and grass plaza.

 

2) Anjirang Valley

 

In Anjirang valley, there are Wang-gul, Daedeok Horseriding Course, Guandeokjeong Archery Center, Daedeok Cultural Hall, and the Southern Library.

Wang-gul was a cave where King Taejo of the Goryeo Dynasty hid after being defeated in a Gongsan battle with Gyeonheon of the Hubaekje Kingdom.

The cave's name 'Wang-gul' comes from this anecdote : the king stayed in this cave.

 

 

#GOSAN_VALLEY & DALBI_VALLEY

 

1) Gosan Valley

 

Gosan Valley includes Beopjang Temple's three-story stone pagoda, the Infant Forest Experience Center, 

Yongdu Mountain Fortress, Bare Feet Trail and Dinosaur Park.

In Dinosaur Park, there's robot dinosaurs such as T. rex, spinosaurus, stegosaurus and Brachiosaurus, etc.

They are made to be similar to the original size based on fossil research data.

Around the dinosaurs, there's somephoto zones where you can take pictures of dinosaur eggs and dinosaurs.

 

※ For a more vivid dinosaur experience, an augmented reality content app that allows users to view the process of creating dinosaur fossils through video was installed on the information board so that virtual dinosaur photos could be freely placed on the smartphone screen and taken against the background of the surrounding landscape.

 

2) Dalbi Valley

 

There are Imhu Temple and Pyeong-an Fountain in Dalbigol.

It was said that Taejo of Goryeo Dynasty hid in this temple 

when he was defeated in the Battle of Palgong by Gyeonheon of Hubaekje Kingdom.
